In the past year, the number of baby girls I know has increased by approximately 8,000%. Now that’s just an estimate, but it’s a delightful coincidence that I also have time for craftiness. This week’s activity was making some headbands for all the beautiful baby girls!
I followed instructions from this blog post, and it’s pretty darn easy to do — no sewing machine required! Just tulle, needle and thread, a hot glue gun and some felt.
I forgot to take starting photo, but tulle is hard to see anyway. For each “petal,” start with a 3-5 inch square of tulle. Fold in half, then quarter, then an eighth so it’s a triangle shape. Use scissors to round the top so it looks something like this:
Put more hot glue onto this felt, put in whatever fabric you’re using for the band, and a second piece of fabric so there aren’t any weird ends touching the baby’s head.
